On social media, my business looked like it was thriving — fully booked & busy. But behind the scenes, I was putting myself last.
I was working from a spare room, pregnant with my first child, overworked, anxious, and terrified that if I stopped taking clients, everything I’d built would fall apart. I kept saying yes to everyone — ten-hour days, barely eating, constantly stressed.

I remember messaging clients that same day and instead of concentrating on labour i'm messaging clients to cancel them - getting replies like, “Wait, you’re pregnant? But when can you fit me back in?”
Only to find myself responding that I would be back that same week — & I did, 4 days later I was back taking clients.
I missed everything I should’ve been enjoying as a new mum. And then to my surprise seven months later, I was pregnant again — still stuck in the same cycle - the panic and anxiety back. Worried if the same thing would happen again.
